ST. LOUIS, MO (January 17, 2006) - David F. Schmid has been appointed Vice President and Senior Institutional Business Development Representative at The Commerce Trust Company for St. Louis, Southeastern Missouri and Illinois markets. V. Raymond Stranghoener, President, The Commerce Trust Company, made the announcement today.
“Our clients and prospects will welcome David’s 13 years of experience in financial products, equity trading and information services,” said Stranghoener. “He brings unique problem-solving talent to the table and will serve as an outstanding ambassador for our Institutional Services Group.”
Prior to joining The Commerce Trust Company, Mr. Schmid sold financial information products to large institutions and broker dealers for Reuters Inc. He also served in key institutional business development roles for Wunderlich Research Partners, G.A Sullivan Inc. and Bridge Information Systems Inc.
Mr. Schmid received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Southern Methodist University and holds the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. He serves on various area community boards, including Advanced Nursing Services Inc., and has served as past president of the Alumni Board for Community School.
